New Champ Select Drops Summoners

The new champ select has occasionally been, seemingly at random, dropping people from the champ select when they enter it. I have been partied up with irl friends over the past week or so and about once or twice a day, we join the champ select after finding a game and one of them drops out of champ select. The champ select lobby will continue, but it says that said person just left the lobby. It sends them back to the home screen, as if they weren't in the lobby at all, and they can't rejoin. All the while, the banning/picking continues until their timer runs out. Then, that person gets a wait timer for dodging. Not sure what the problem is, but it needs fixed before people start getting huge timers for something the champ select lobby is doing.
