Game Connection error, and client error causing a Remake

So my friend and I had just duo-queued up for a Ranked game, and we both on separate internet connections over 3 hours away from each other had a game go through the champion select, and once it hit 0 on the countdown to the game launching, it then sat and never launched the game. We sat there for a good 3-4 minutes, before he had a game error stating "we're attempting to reconnect you", and we both closed our clients, assuming a bug.

Upon trying to log back in, the game sits on the login screen, spinning "Authenticating" for both of us, with no movement. Eventually, it responded with an error message stating that something went wrong. We attempted for a good 5 minutes, before the slow client finally loaded for just me. The client began to automatically launch the game, but it errored stating it had a problem connecting to the server. The game was remade.

Eventually he also got back into the client as well, and I replayed the leaver game, showcasing only him and I were having the connection issue all along, and our team remade. However, this was completely unfair, as we both desperately tried to reconnect to the game, but we both get leaverbustered for it, and lose LP for the client going belly-up.

Losing LP for this kind of problem leaves us completely at the mercy at the broken client's spotty connection to the game servers. Feel free to look me up on OP.GG to see my friend's name (he was playing Rakan), as sharing names openly is not allowed on the boards. Fix this shit please, Riot.
