Client issues are a nightmare right now for me and I literally can't play 1/3-ish of my games!

I picked this game up after quitting for a year due to school and work. I came back, trying to learn the meta and get back into it and nothing matters when i can't get into the game. Every other champ select my game freezes when the enemy picks a champ and it stays at 0 seconds remaining till i end up dodging without choice. This just happened twice in a row. So now I'm at 67 LP which is 3 less than i need to rank up since im IRON in GOLD and gain 30LP. Yesterday the same issue where it took me 3 LP lower than i needed to only win one game. I as so fucking sick of this shit. What is going to be done? Do i have to play on my school MacBook? That client is more consistent for fuck sake.

It's already bad enough i played vs plat players in my placements, and i play vs gold players while stuffed in Iron 2, now iron 1. I would love to climb but I can't even join a single game. Is riot addressing this? Is it just me? My pc runs above 200fps in game and my ping is 30 in game. Internet speeds are fantastic so I don't get this issue.

Time to play Overwatch? I want something I'm familiar with and challenging with goals in mind when i have free time and I'm extremely disappointed. Any solutions besides hoping i can kill the correct process in my task manager? This is a HUGE game and I shouldn't have to go into task manager to play lmfao.
