Gangplank's barrels do not apply lich bane procs

I am assuming that this is a bug because the barrels apply Sheen and Trinity Force's spellblade procs, but not Lich Bane's, probably because gangplank isn't expected to do magic damage. Pictured in the attachments is the bug in action - Parrrley with lich bane doing more damage than Parrrley with lich bane on a barrel.

It is not a bug. That's how it works.

read the description on his wiki page. it says it only applies physical damage effects in an aoe, hence no wits end/runeglave/lichbane, and statikk doesn't get applied twice when you hit a barrel and the shock arcs to another target. now THAT would be op... now I'm wondering if iceborn hits twice since its physical and does aoe...
