Azir's Ult glitches out Lux's ult =/

Whenever I'm playing Lux against an Azir, and I use my ult, and he uses his Emperor's divide to displace me (The Laser will still go off at the original spot it was channeled.) but only the visual graphic completes (Meaning, the laser shoots out from my original position.), but anyone caught in the laser takes no damage, and it goes on CD for me. By my knowledge, if Lux's ult does NOT go off, then it doesn't go on CD.

It seems like his ult is somehow negating Lux's ult completely, when it should either be doing 1 of 2 things. 1. Interrupts Lux's ult and cancels it from finishing (Thus, the CD is not activated.) 2. The Ult completes and still damages anyone caught in it's path.
