Launching League in Mac OS causes icons to blank

After reinstalling league on my new, 2017 macbook pro and playing a few games, the icons in my dock and applications folder have lost their pictures. They now show up as a piece of paper with a ruler, brush, and pencil, as if the application is missing its icon information.

I am trying to figure out how the league client is manipulating my other applications. This problem, which has been around for some time now, is completely unacceptable.

Running the most updated OS High Sierra 10.13.3

This did not happen on my older macbook before the upgrade.

If this should be in "Client Discussion" please let me know and I will move it there.

I'm also having this issue, and have at it continuously for 1-2 months, both after client updates and at random times after a game finishes and I'm brought to the honor screen. A duplicate thread has been open with no response here https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/bug-report/rA0p1rYx-client-updating-on-mac-high-sierra-messes-up-other-application-icons?sort_type=recent

So far the only way to resolve has been temporary: needing to boot in safe mode and restart. It's becoming very frustrating, and the more this occurs, the less inclined I am to open the client.

Can we get an acknowledgement of this ticket? Even without an ETA, is this on the support team's radar or in the engineering backlog?
