Infinite patching loop

When I went to patch today I was having some issues. When the patch starts it would hit about 2-3% completed before making the ding noise that comes with patch completing. Then reset to 0% it did this 10-12 times before I gave up. Managed to get it working after just waiting for while and trying again.
