I'm obsessed with Tahm but he needs some bugfixes, badly!
Tahm is the most fun champion I've played since pre-rework Fiora, I'm enjoying him immensely but he has some weird interactions, mostly with champions, that really need to be fixed. I waited for the 5.17 notes to see if they would fix any of them, but none were unfortunately. Tahm is a diamond that needs to be polished. So here's a list of bugs I've found after playing him for about a week cut into 3 categories, Bugs, Possible Bugs, and Quality of Life.
BUGS
You know, good ol' bugs. Unintended things occuring
-Fiora can parry Tahm's devour but Tahm still registers as having something in his mouth. I'm pretty sure Fiora being able to parry not being eaten is intentional, but the problem is Tahm still thinks he has her in his mouth, so he is slowed and wastes his W cooldown while Fiora can act freely. he also spits out nothing though he does the animation.
-If Tahm Qs then Ws quickly, the Q tongue will stick to the enemy as the enemy goes into his stomach without applying damage. I havent had the opportunity to test it on an enemy champion but the bug occurs on jungle monsters.
-Morde's ghost doesn't get Tahm's An Acquired Taste stacks applied correctly. I noticed this last game when morde got through the banphase somehow, he ghosted our Ryze. I auto attacked him applying 1 stack then I Qd the ghost Ryze but he still only had 1 stack applied. my W spitting a minion at an enemy is also supposed to apply a stack but I didnt have the opportunity to test that on the ghost.
-Anivia's Passive removes all of Tahm's An Acquired Taste stacks. This is a really big problem for Tahm playing against any Anivia. Getting all the stacks on Anivia, then she goes into her passive denies the ability for you to eat her egg and move her someplace else. Extremely frustrating.
-Tahm's autos cancel oddly.... it's hard to explain, but if you try to attack something like a minion but it dies before you hit it, Tahm kinda wobbles around for a half a second. its very annoying to deal with when trying to CS. it doesnt happen all the time, it's inconsistent and I'm not sure what exactly causes it.
-A visual bug, so not a big problem, but on certain enemy champions I've noticed parts of them clip through Tahm while in his belly. Ive mostly noticed Gangplank's sword showing but there are other instances too. Again not a huge priority but it's worth looking into.
-Tahm's W when used to spit minions at enemies applies weirdly. I notice sometimes the damage and An Aquired Taste stacks applying oddly. Sometimes the damage and stacks will apply to 1 enemy hit by it instantly as it should, but the mark and damage apply a few frames later than the first enemy hit. It's honestly not a big deal considering the damage and stacks get applied a fraction of a second later anyways, but it's a bug ive noticed so I might as well mention it.

POSSIBLE BUGS
Tahm is a weird one with interesting interactions. Sometimes I don't know if some things are intended but they might be
-Enemies can Zhonyas in Tahm's stomach to avoid the damage. Not sure if this is intended at all or not since Tahm's devour seems to be a variety of a Suppression or Stun, neither of which you can normally Zhonyas in. The Wikipedia page for Tahm says it's a suppression which means they shouldn't be able to Zhonyas while in his stomach, but I'm not sure if the wiki is correct
-Tahm cannot eat gangplank's barrels. I'm really not sure if this is a bug or not because the barrels have odd properties. It is also notable that Nasus doesnt get Q stacks for killing gp's barrels with a Q. Nunu cannot eat them either. I think this might be more of a Gangplank interaction with other champions than specifically Tahm with GP. I'm not sure how the barrels are coded, I would guess similarly to wards since neithee Nunu nor Tahm can eat wards but Nasus gets stacks from wards and not from GP barrels. I guess the properties of barrels seem inconsistent to me, I'll let you all figure this out.
-Another visual bug that doesn't matter much at all, but I'm still pretty sure it's a bug so I might as well mention it. Tahm's walk animation changes when chasing enemies with 2 stacks of An Acquired Taste on them and if I recall like this, I still am in this run animation for a few seconds.
QUALITY OF LIFE CHANGES
This section is majorly my suggestions to improve communication and clarity for Tahm since he is a champion that relies immensely on that. Not bugs, just my input on what could be improved.
-There is poor indication for allies to click on Tahm during his ultimate. Not exactly a bug, but a great quality of life change would be to add those white arrows you see pointing towards Thresh's lantern. Maybe add this soundbite when youre channeling your ult :). I think this is just because Tahm is new and not often picked but it could really help people learn.
-An indication of where Tahm will spit the enemy champion he is holding in his mouth would really help with team communication. Right now I just have allies circle around me while they wait for me to spit the enemy out and I spam ping on where I'm planning to spit the enemy out which works decently, but team communication would be further improved if he had some kind of auto-indicator to show where the enemy will pop out depending on the way Tahm is facing.
-I see RIOT noticed Tahm Jungle is becoming a thing in his notes on patch 5.17. Quote:...he sees niche use among a variety of roles at all levels of play (TK Jungle’s slowly becoming A Thing). It wouldn't be the worst idea to change his recommended build when he has smite to suggest Hunter's Machete, Chilling Smite, and Juggernaut.
