[GAMEPLAY] In-game mouse not locked on primary monitor if camera is fixed (with F9 button)
I've recently had a long, really long, discussion with Italian Riot Support's team about my problem, they end up to send this problem to the tech team and Riot Glar suggested me to post my problem on NA forum, so here is my problem:
With normal settings (i mean in-game settings not the others on the launcher) my mouse stay in primary monitor, but when i move it on the border my camera is dragged out. I normally play with F9 active (this function disable the possibility to slide the camera by moving the mouse over the edges of the window). To move the camera i've enabled the middle-click on the mouse (with the scroll button). I'm a designer and most of the graphics programs have the same system to move the panel, so i found this way more comfortable then mouse over the edges of the window.
Back to my problem!
With F9 active (red outline around the window) i can finally drag my camera only with my center click on the mouse and i can't move the camera by moving the mouse on the edge of the primary screen, but with this settings my mouse go over to the secondary monitor. This happens EVERYTIME F9 IS ACTIVE, no matter of:
- how much is the screen resolution of both monitors
- On every in-game window setting, like: Full-Screen / Windowed / Windowed at max size
- Both monitor are plugged and active (if secondary monitor is unplugged, obviously, my mouse can't go over the secondary monitor)
- In every queue: Summoner's Rift, TT, Aram, whatever, and on every type of game: ranked, normal, custom.
- With all of the champions that i've got
- Windows XP / Vista / Seven
- On task-manager i've also try to shut down everything else then pvp client + in-game exe (i've shutted down explorer.exe too and all other service) but i think there is nothing on the system that cause a conflict to the game.
So, a quick recap of the problem:
- If F9 is active the camera move over the secondary screen
and a quick recap of what i want:
- I want to be able to move the camera only with the scroll-click on my mouse (and disabling the scroll of the map by moving the mouse over the edge of the in-game windows).
- Both monitor must be plugged in and online.
- Mouse MUST not go over the secondary monitor.
I'll share you the same stuff the support team asked me before wich means: Riot dxdiag.txt, Riot Process.txt, Riot NetworkInfo.txt and r3dlog.txt. Link to the file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7mFC1uoCSVpOElSYTlJQlB4N0U/view?usp=sharing
I've also made up a video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtPxKRoFtb8 )to show the problem to the italian support team. The video is in italian, but i can translate it if required. Anyway the video self-explain the problem without even understand my language, i think.
MY SUGGESTION If you can't solve the problem (italian support told me that this is an hard fix) i'm suggesting you to rework the movement speed of the camera (with the mouse over the edge). Right now, if you put it to 0, the camera still move... slowly but it still move. I suggest you to switch these number in %. At 100% speed the camera will move at normal speed, at max (wich will be 200-300%) the camera will move faster and lower you set it u can reach the 0% (not 0) wich means the camera will move at 0% speed. That settings will allow me to not use F9 (wich is the problem of the mouse go out of the primary monitor) and the mouse will not finally move the camera with the edges and it also will stay locked on the primary screen.
Ok... that's all. I hope you can find i way to fix this problem, my simple suggestion for a workaroundfix will probably be enought. Sorry for my bad english... let me know what you don't understand and i'll try to explain it better.
