Client Not Popping Up

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not. When I alt tab after indicating my preferred champion in the new champion select screen, I generally alt tab back to my browser to wait until it's my turn to ban. Sometimes the client will pop up on my turn, sometimes not, causing massive wait times if it happens a few times a day.

I know that I should just pay attention and wait, but sometimes I zone out when going to switch a song or something and forget I'm even in champion select for a minute or two.

This is driving me nuts.
