Game not letting me connect to the game

As soon as the game launches my screen goes black and I get a loading error telling me that I cannot connect to the game. I try to retry though it has not effect and I end up getting an abandon and being penalized for something which is not my fault. I went to the support site and it tells me that my internet is great and I should be getting good performance but I can't even get to the loading screen. I haven't found a fix for this. If someone knows how to fix this please let me know.
