Logging in.... Forever?
I am trying to log in and play but I sit on logging in forever... and it does not change. I am not sure if I am the only one. It is not my internet. I can play 1080P plus youtube video no buffer needed. As well as 2k and 4k.

Same, it never goes past "Loading..." Tried both my accounts and same thing happening. Rito please.
I have the same issue. What I did was I closed the launcher, then I right clicked on the shortcut and clicked "Run As Admin". When I tried to log in then, it worked. If it doesn't work, try it again and hopefully it will eventually work, Good Luck.
I'm having the same thing as all above. I've "Run As Admin" #fail I've Turned my Router off #morefail I've uninstalled and re-installed LOL #uberfail
The one thing I haven't tried is lol_air_client how do I even do that?
Patch 4.20 worked for me originally but now I'm just stuck on the screen saying "Loggin On" with the load bar.

I'm still running into the "Logging on.." part and it never connecting. I've been waiting for like 20 minutes and it's still doing the same thing. Probably the 30th or so attempt to connect to a game I've invested alot of money into. Rito you need to really fix this asap.
Either I can't get to the log in screen, it doesn't take my login to completion, or pvp.net doesn't connect me with my friendlist. That's my endless cycle right now.
Same here. Sitting here now, looking at the Kalista login screen. Second day in a row I can't login to league. It's showing the status window as follows:
"Login Status Logging on..."
As stated before, second day in a row, so maybe only hours after patch 4.20 came out did this start happening. I made sure that the server wasn't down during those times, server status said it was up and fine at all times of attempt to log in.
Edit: I can login when I use "run as admin", but I can't login normally.
Ugh same. Just forced an update and now I can't log in... it just stalls at logging in then tells me it failed with a link to click "here" for more info. The link by the way is also broken. :(
Guess no game play for me today. Riot??? Anyone out there???

I had this issue earlier where it'd say "logging in" and wouldn't do anything. I would just close the client and then reopen it and that seemed to help.
Although, I've had other issues with logging in such as the client saying it cannot connect with the server when my internet is working fine. This can cause it to take forever to log in as well.
Run As Admin worked for me, except now the chat doesn't work again. There doesn't seem to be that < ! > notice about it being fixed anymore. Is it going to be like this from now on?
I have the same issue too. I was able to log in by running as admin yesterday, but now what I can only do is to pray that rito would notice this bug and fix it as soon as possible. PLz!
I keep running into the actual client not running. I click Launch and... nothing happens. I have to go into task manager, nuke the process for the patcher, and start over. It also results in the actual client .exe running multiple instances. It doesn't seem to be a net issue at all.
Same issue. Not my router or internet as I am currently streaming netflix on second monitor. Started happening after Patch 4.20 came out. Sometimes closing and opening will work, but sometimes not. I guess Patch 4.20 must mean the client smoked too much cheba and now doesn't want to work for anyone. Lol.
Running as admin won't change anything. It'll be pure coincidence if you get in after running as admin.
Also: you'll know you got logged in if you hear the sound (similar to locking in during champ select) almost immediately after you see "logging in."
If you don't hear the sound, just try again. Waiting probably won't work.
But you'll also be not very surprised by Riots service when chat service doesn't load. It's not loading on some log-ins.
Also had this issue for the past 2 days or so. It's off and on. I thought it was my connection at first, but it's clearly not that with all of the other people having the same problem. It is rare these days that I can actually log in on the first try.

Same thing is happening to me, I've tried opening as admin, restarting my router, and restarting my computer multiple times with no success. I have to try 4,5, or more times to actually get into the game. It's getting to the point where I would have to keep my computer on all night if I actually want a chance at playing the next day. I'm sure Riot has realized that this is going on and is hopefully doing SOMETHING to try to get a fix, I know they have a lot of other problems but at the moment this one seems pretty important... All we can do is wait I guess.

What you can try to do is on the login screen, check or uncheck the login screen animation box.
So who on here had verizon?
Just go to cmd and write ipconfig /flushdns , it should work after that without having to click the log in or running as administrator, worked for me with the first try
i FIXED my problem
it was the MTU ( in router settings ) i changed that and boom the default was 1200 i a day or two ago changed it to 550 ( gave 0 packet loss when tested ) and it worked find

i got the same problem recently. I am stuck at the "logging in..." screen. firewall is not the problem, tried to run it as an admin.... nothing worked. Cant do anything with the router cause i am having a lan-connection. Any ideas what to try next ?

hi i just youst 20 euro to get some rp. afhter the rp come i was gona buy the msi casule. but then it come up messede error. i log out and when im loging in agine it just keep loading i have tryed to restart my pc but nothing help. i tryed to load in 3 hours and it still loading tryed to stop the loading and try agine and same problem coming i dont know whats happening i just can load in to my client. plz somewon help me whit this. maybie my account is stolen but im the onlywon ho know the passowrd. so yeah aswer me if somewon know how to fix it.

I'm getting the problem of forever logging in, no reasonable solutions work such as restarting x,y, and z.
I have never had to click the run as admin option before on the LoL client to login (not run the exe.. ?) so I'm not really sure why I should have to begin now.. everything runs as administrator by default . lol
sitting here 'logigng on', I have my one hour kitchen timer ticking away, I vote it will go off before I am fully logged on.

Yea I have been trying to log in for the past 30 minutes, lets hope the suggestions on this thread help...
I had this issue as well after the 92nd time it logged in. might have to do a repair later on it.
I've tried logging in 5 times and im still not in, it's not because people are going on all on one time, it's just loading FOREVER.
I just tried and I'm stuck on it saying Logging on..... Gonna play CoD.. I'll keep checking this board to keep up to date.
This has been happening to me too, just keep trying man.. hope you eventually get in!
What ended up working for me was opening the client normally and as admin back and forth (norm/admin/norm/admin/etc.) It always ends up working.
I have been having other issues since the patch though, like after champ select it sits in "Prepare for battle" forever and i have to close and reopen client to get back in the game. THEN it does the whole "logging in" thing again -_-
