Not being able to connect to ranked match

So me and most of my friends have all had this problem 1 time or more where we Que up for a ranked match everything is going fine then when we get to the login screen i can't connect and I retry and retry without success i even repaired my client and it didn't help. I even went to the lengths of calling up a friend who is in the same division as me to get on my account so my didn't think i was just leaving them out for dry. but even after i lost that match ending my series i got a 5 games low priority Que and i just don't think this is fair when i cant do anything about it riot please help
