DCing in champ select doesn't make your account dodge

As the title says.

It's pretty rare that my router goes out, but I thought it'd be alright since it went out in champ select literally as soon as the lobby popped up.

Why in hell didn't it just dodge my game?? I came back and said in all chat "Omg I'm so sorry guys my router went out in champ select" and of course I get
