LoL Not opening

Don't know if this is just me, or a large bug. I cannot run League of Legends... I open the application, and it starts the LoLLauncher, the logo appears for a second, and then nothing happens. I have checked my activity monitor, and I can see that my Launcher is doing something, but there is nothing that is happening. I am using a Macbook Pro 2011, on Mavericks OS.

Ok. I have had this problem before and I know exactly how to fix it ( at least for me, I have the same model as you) go to leagueoflegends.com and download the client thingy. Go into your applications, right click the LoLClient and "Show Package Contents". Go to Contents>LoL>RADS>system> and copy over the UserKernel from the new download to the older one. I'll post a picture showing you.
