I’ve recently taken a small break from league while I have been dealing with the end of a semester. Recently I had gone on league via the new client and It had said that soon my LP will deteriorate because of inactivity. Worrying about the LP loss, over the course of the days since then I have played some ranked games. Just now I got on league and it said that I am now official inactive and I will start losing LP. I am confused by this because I have recently played multiple ranked games on this account. Here are my questions. Does it not stop inactivity if I play a game but lose it? Is this just a bug with the new client? Anyways I would very much like to know if I have to win a game to make it stop the LP decay. Thank you for spending time to read this.

The inactivity notice was likely in reference to flex queue, as you haven't played a match in flex queue in about a month. Both solo/duo and flex queues are independent of each other when it comes to inactivity, so it's possible to be active in one but inactive in the other. Since you are inactive in flex queue, you will need to play a game in flex queue in order to stop the inactivity, and no you do not need to win, just play.
