Frame rate drop ever since new patch

Ive had this happen to me before seemingly random whenever there is a new patch update, my FPS goes from its usual 140~160 to 20 and bellow at random moments whenever there is a fight or skirmish, more than 2 people use an ability at the same time or I pan my camera across the map. I've tried lowering settings to low and still the FPS will drop.

The only thing i've found that fixes it is doing a reinstall of my recent graphic driver updates and running a repair of the league client. The result usually causes less drops and if it does then they only drop slightly not drastically like before.
