Lag Issue?

I do lag occasionally but this week has been like no other since the release of the runes. I spike up to 2000 ping and then proceed to teleport and my friend has had the same problem before i'm not sure if its an actual problem but I've never had a problem like that with ms before so i wanted to know if it is on riots part or my internet is just bad.
