Crash on Alt+Tab w/ new GPU

Ok so recently I updated my GPU to the MSI Geforce GTX980 4GB Gaming card to update my system as I get ready for Fallout 4. My old card was a SAPPHIRE Radeon 6870. Ever since I installed my new card and updated it's drivers(yes they are current) my game will crash when I alt + tab. No exceptions. I would like to know if there is a certain setting I can change to prevent this from happening. If possible, I would like a red post to help me out, or anyone with experience with this issue and NVIDIA. I've sent the bugsplat report in several times, but obviously that does nothing to solve the problem in the short term. Thanks in advance for any real help.

p.s. telling me to not alt+tab is not help.

I've only really used NVIDIA cards, so I'm not sure how much help I can be.

That said, I know that my previous graphics card would crash if I didn't set "Power Management Mode" to "Prefer Maximum Performance".

Yeah, I've got 3 modes on mine: silent, gaming, oc. I've tried all three to no avail. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Bump. It really is an issue. If I alt-tab it'll crash and force me to reconnect. However, upon reconnecting the screen will go black and a message will appear saying I am not connected to the internet(I am) and it will keep saying this upon every reconnect until I close out and re-log 2 or 3 times. Riot, please help.item 3151

Bump. Today quicktime auto update minimized league, league crashed, and I couldn't reconnect because apparently I wasn't "connected to the internet." This while listening to pandora, talking to my friend on steam, and logging in to my account 4 times(sometimes it helps). Riot... give me a suggestion here, you're killing me.

I pressed reconnect no less than 20 times, each time I got the same message....
