Camille's Ult Silencing

So I just played a game as Sion, every time I would hold Q and she would ult it would stop my Q cast without sending down the swing. It would completely stop the cast and put it into cooldown. Is this a bug? Or is this another "working as intended" situation.

Camille knocks away all enemies on impact making your q get canceled by cc.
