Jungle Bug

I'm not a 100% sure if this is a bug, but a couple of days ago i was playing Mundo jungle, I was taking red buff, i ended up killing the red buff but getting executed right before I killed it and I didn't get the red buff but it still died, Is this a bug?

I was playing Sion jungle and got executed to red, i killed it with the passive and got it. You must have gotten it before you got executed.
