Crashed in Ranked Champ select

The weird thing was my team wasn't booted, so I tried to log back in real quick but it just took me to the home page. They had to leave or wait for old me to get locked out. I had already preselected my champ and if the game would accept that as my champ I could have joined after the game started, but the secondary confirming click kept me from being about to join. Any way to make it so we can rejoin champ select in the even of a crash? Thanks, Riot
