Honorable Opponent: A way to give thanks

I've seen many posts about honorable opponent being taken away and almost as many responses saying that it will be back in the future. However, my issue isn't whether there is a system in place to reward people who exhibit sportsmanlike behavior: I just want to be able to let opponents know they played well and were fun to play against. I don't even need a system to keep track of my awards; I just need a way to let somebody know they did well and someone else saw it. It means a lot to me when I log on and see a banner from that game I played last night waiting for me, and I assume it does for others too.

TL;DR So in short, even if I know there's no reward system, I want to be able to let my opponents know they played well.
