Hextech chests/crates bug

So I'm mostly a solo player, and i have all crates available for me to get. Normally what is supposed to happen is, ether you (or a team mate on your team) gets an S-, or any of the S ranks, you get a hextech chest. Yet ever since this patch, i have gotten none. My question is, did they change it, did they make it so you can't get the chests after a game when someone on your team even in all randoms gets an S- rank or higher? It is really odd, and i don't think riot changed, it, if they did then someone please point it out to me in the patch notes for 6.11.

You can only get a chest once per champ per season.

Yes i understand that, but (and i still got no clue if it was changed), even when you solo'd if someone on your team got an S rank, you could get a crate

Just FYI, this was never true. If someone on your team gets an S rank, you only get the chest if they were in your premade party. If you were solo, you could never get a chest if a teammate got an S and you didn't. It has always worked like this.

Alright then that answers my question, kinda sucks that even if you don't get an S rank you can't get a chest anymore, but oh well. Thanks for answering my question Sciela.

I know that this is 3 months old, but I just wanted to say I just ran into the same "what the heck" moment. I clearly remember getting chests, when members not in my party got S's. I came to check if it changed as well, since 2 people not in my party just got S's and I didn't get a chest. Found out it was only for premades since the beginning of time, and I was like..huh?
