Exiting lobby not exiting game?

So, I just left a game. My apologies to the players who got stuck in the 4v5 on both sides.

Then I rejoined, 27 minutes later. And was in a game, to my surprise; not because I thought my team would have surrendered, but because I left the game prior to the start by Xing out when there were 8 seconds until game start left, because I was not overenthused with my teammates. I pressed the button, it popped up the window about you get a time penalty for leaving, hit OK, quit, went on to do other things.

From my understanding of the way the game works, it should not start the game if I leave before it starts, hence this post in the bug forusm.
