I earned S rank on Rek'sai for the first time but I did not received any hextech box This has happened to me with Shyvana too (I got the mastery 6 token but no box) and also my friend got S rank on Fizz but I didn't got the box Wtf?
If you've ever gotten an S rank in Season 6 then you have gotten a box from that champion, but if you had done this then you can't get another box from that champion till S7
As you might know already, you can only earn one chest per champion per season. It is possible to earn a chest with a champion without ever getting an S- or better grade by simply playing that champion while having a pre-made friend get an S- or better grade. Doing this will earn you a chest for the champion you are playing, not the one your friend is playing.
So for your specific situation, if you have played Rek'Sai and Shyvana when a pre-made friend earned an S- or better, then you have earned a chest for those champions.
Not any of my friend has got S on Rek'sai (who even plays her in Normal Matches).
