[GAMEPLAY] Blitzcrank Rocket Grab Bug

I have recently discovered a bug surrounding Blitzcrank's Rocket Grab. This ability is supposed to stun the target and pull them to Blitzcrank. The target should not be able to cast any thing while disabled (anything cast during the disable would happen after the disable ends). I have experienced problems with this when trying to pull Ezreal. Ezreal is able to Arcane Shift away during the disable of Rocket Grab. The result of this is that Ezreal does not travel the full distance to Blitzcrank.

Step by step to reproduce

  1. Blitzcrank casts Rocket Grab toward enemy Ezreal.
  2. After Rocket Grab hits enemy Ezreal (but before Ezreal is pulled all the way), Ezreal casts Arcane Shift away.

The link attached to this post is a video of this happening. This has happened to me multiple times, this is just one example. I plan on testing it in Custom and will record that and add it to my post.

UPDATE: I tested this with a friend in Custom several times link. It appears that Ezreal must cast Arcane Shift immediately before Rocket Grab hits. Arcane Shift is starting to active as Blitzcrank's arm starts to pull, but Arcane Shift cannot be interrupted so it completes as expected.

In the video, the first several attempts (minus the first attempt that I failed to record), Ezreal tried casting Arcane Shift after the arm hit and we could not duplicate the "bug". We then tried having Ezreal cast Arcane Shift immediately before the arm hit and we can get the results we expected.

Conclusion: This is not a bug with Rocket Arm after all. It is just very precise timing on the part of Ezreal to avoid being pulled.
