Recent Increase in Dc's and Afk's

More than once now, I have noticed that someone has "left the room" while in ranked Champion Select. This normally selects AFTER that person has already chosen a champion.

I assume they decide to leave the game for whatever reason, thinking they have dodged. HOWEVER, recently, everytime that I have seen this prompt pop up. Game starts and that person is not connected nor does this person attempt to reconnect. I

From this, I presume that Riot has changed how they handle dodging. Meaning if u LOCK-IN your champion, that is consent to your commitment for the game you queued up for.

Another possibility is that this is a new boosting method. Bc from my perspective ANY accidental DC should be followed by continuous attempts to reconnect.
