LoL Patcher causing lag spikes while in-game.
I've been getting ridiculously unstable ping the last few months. Haven't played a whole ton since the Chicago server move, but it's been this way ever since then. I'll be in game and the entire match I'll randomly jump upwards of 2,000 ping and back down to my average 50-70.
Playing from Arizona, regardless of the IGN.
After zero assistance from Riot I decided to mess around with things. I closed the client patcher once I loaded into a game via my task manager, and lo and behold, no lag spikes. Going to play a few more games this way to test it. But, I'm thinking there's SOME kind of issue with their patcher that's sucking up bandwidth when some of us are in-game.
Note, I don't lag in any other game that I play, and can play servers from the EU in many of those that I do play with an average ping of 100 with no spikes or DC's the way LoL has been lately. This is League-specific, nothing else I play or run is being affected in the slightest.
