Loading Screen not Loading

So my own pc went boom a few days ago, I convinced my mom to let me play on her MAC while we ordered my new Disk online.

After an hour and a half of waiting I finally downloaded and patched it, so I tried to start up a Practice Tool Game but as soon as the Champion Select timer hit 0 it said ‘Game in Progress’ alright but, the Loading Screen never popped up.

After 10 minutes of seeing ‘Game in Progress’ but no Loading Screen popping up it kicked me out and I was directed back to the main menu.

I tried the following steps to try and resolve the issue but it still remains:

  1. Redownload the whole game itself, took me another 1 1/2 hours and the issue wasn’t resolved.
  2. I initiated a full repair multiple times, did not solve the issue.
  3. I whitelisted League of Legends in the FireWall, this didn’t solve the issue either.

Please help me since I do want to play League with my friends x)

I've been using the Mac client for about 2yrs now & here's my take on your problem;

  1. The "Game in Progress" appears once champ select is done & a new window should open with the loading screen.
    • Everything seems normal till this point, in which the loading screen never appears. Try Cmd-Tab to see if Finder lets you tab into Loading Screen (the icon for the League client is round while the Loading screen/game icon is square; tab into the square one)
    • If that doesnt work, try opening Activity Monitor to see if the game is actually running or appears as 'Not Responding'
  • FINALLY, worst case scenario, after you're done with champ select & the client says "Game in Progress", try quitting your client & re-entering so when you connect, the "Reconnect" button appears. Hopefully this will get your game running.
