Well, I have lost a few games, 4 in a row now. The last game I was at 0LP and was demoted upon losing, as far as I know you are given a grace before being demoted, at least 2 games? Lost 17LP on my last loss to put me to 0.
I believe once you hit 0 LP being demoted depends entirely on your hidden MMR. If you lose enough in a row, even if you win 1 in between, you will be demoted right away if you lose at 0 LP because your hidden MMR is low enough for you to be in the tier below your current one. There is no "grace period" as far as I know. That's just the result of your MMR being high enough after just being promoted that you need to lose a few games in a row before it is low enough to get demoted.
Makes sense but I have a 60ish percent win rate over the last 20 games, above 50 for the last 50 games at least. Doesn't quite add up
Maybe 17-18 on a win and up to 25 on a loss.
Got S2 back and immediately lost 4 games, no demotion... something not right
