post game gifting bug (client) (crash)

To whom it may concern, Sometimes when a player goes above and beyond to be nice, or even has a really good game i like to gift them a nice skin without having to add them to my friends list. This post game gifting was working perfectly for quite a while, But since 7.6 it has been freezing during the transaction and i have to [Alt] [F4] to get out of the gifting popup window which would result in the entire client shutting down. Please fix this bug as i would like to be able to reward players again, thanks guys. have a great day!

ps. i am on the legacy client and have no desire to switch. I tested in alpha and it just made my pc run like crap.
