Queue Dodge Timers Are Silly

I got a dodge timer because I forgot to lock in a enemy champion to ban(before you flame me, I did almost get it). I just played a game where someone (my soraka) did not ban someone and they did not get kicked out (obviously because I played the game).

here is proof that I have gotten a queue dodge timer...........

Why does this happen for me but not for other people? Could this possibly be because I clicked someone that was already banned (Kaisa ) and last milisecond pressed ban on Swain ?

I don't think support can/will help me because the response time would have to be godlike to stop a 6 minute queue dodge timer.

Side Note; does this affect a statistic on my account in anyway?

EDIT It said there was also an error in selecting my champion, so it could be that.

That has nothing to do with your situation. They chose the option of banning no champion. You just timed out without locking in any selection.

When you want to change your selection before locking for whatever reason, and the time is running low, don't panic. Click the champion you want to select, wait until you see his splash art loaded up behind your selection screen, and the "Lock" button lights up. Only then click Lock.
