[Client I think] Champion select screen did not load, was not disbanded, took to home screen

Okay the title sounds super misleading but that's the only way I could summarize it. What happened was I went to play a bots match, and when a match was found hit accept, blah blah blah. The champion select screen tried loading for about six seconds, but instead took me back to the home screen, while the champion select was occurring. The music was playing, and I could hear people sending chat messages.

I tried clicking around to see if it was just a display glitch, but it was the legitimate and functional home screen. I could click play, but if I tried to join another game, it said that I was already matched in a game. I couldn't find a solution by the time the timer ran out, so I was given that five minute ban.

I've been having problems with lag and internet, but I don't think that would have been the cause of it.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there an easy way to fix it that I missed? Or do I just have to hope it was a one time thing and pray it doesn't happen in a ranked?
