Aatrox can't cast redemption in passive
I don't think this will change or not, but it synergies well with his kit. More heals and shields with CotC. He also has a free 3 seconds to cast it as his passive pops.

i shall say what the other 2 downvoters did not bother to, if you find it necessary to build redemption on aatrox i doubt you'd live long enough to make a difference even if you could cast it while regening combat hp.
I don't think this is a bug. Aatrox's passive also sets his summoners on CD for the same duration as the blood well animation, right? What I get from this is that he is just not supposed to be able to take any action during the passive heal, kinda like a self suppression, I guess.
