Quick question, If you already got your 4 chests for the month, and you get an S rank on a new champion, what happens? Will you not be able to earn a chest on that champ for the rest of the season? Or will you get the chest for that game next month when your new chests are available? Im going to avoid champs I havnt gotten an S on until I know for sure.
If it negates the Hextech Chest I think it would be a super dumb system flaw. But I see 2 possible outcomes
BUT I would say go with it. Because if it doesn't work and it wastes it then you can always go to the riot support page and submit a ticket and ask them for help. :D
TL;DR: Don't restrain on not getting a S rank. Just go with it!

You can still get the chest once a new one is given to you, but you will have to play until you get another S rank for that champion.
The whole system is flawed. Chest should just be rewarded at a RnG basis, or for every 100k gold earned on the rift
plus you would have to be out of your mind to spend RP on chest/keys... 20 dollars for maybe 3 random skins is a really bad idea...were better off getting 4 975 skins on sale of our choosing than to leave it to RnG.... Plus unlocking champs from hextech is just unrewarding too, most veterans have most of the champs.
